چکیده
Introduction/Objective. The class II malocclusion results in disbalanced facial harmony, primarily noticeable the profile and lower third. Aside from skeletal evaluation, orthodontic diagnosis treatment planning should include soft tissue analysis. aim of study was to identify outcomes II, division 1 patients determine if these changes are related different protocols. Methods. first group non-extraction (25 patients) initially treated with Herbst appliance, second four premolars extraction a multibracket appliance. patients? cephalograms pre- post-treatment photographs were used. Results. improvement evident decrease nasomental angle, angle representing projection upper lip chin, as well angle. In group, nasolabial showed significant increase. Soft variables differences between groups: total or convexity including nose presenting chin. Conclusion. without extractions convex favorable third face.

Changes in soft tissue profile using functional appliances in the treatment of skeletal class II malocclusion.
INTRODUCTION The effects of orthodontic treatment are considered to be successful if the facial harmony is achieved, while the structures of soft tissue profile are in harmony with skeletal structures of neurocranium and viscerocranium. In patients with skeletal distal bite caused by mandibular retrognathism, facial esthetics is disturbed often, in terms of pronounced convexity of the profile a...

The changes in soft tissue profile for 66 Angle's Class III malocclusion subjects treated either with the Function Regulator, or Upper Removable Appliances, or the Edgewise Appliance were assessed by comparing cephalometric radiographs taken before and after correction of the anterior occlusion. While the mean soft tissue profile in all groups improved in relation to a Control Group, the FR.III...
